I’ve always liked looking at the stars, wondering about the worlds that revolve those distant stars. My facination is purely out of awe. I know those stars have names, I know some of the names, but I don’t know which is which. I don’t really care, to be honest, purely because it doesn’t matter to me. I like them this way.
“What is in a name, that which we call a rose by any other name, would smell just as sweet.” – Romeo an Juliet
Another reason I like looking at the stars, is because of Vincent van Gogh. My favourite painting has always been “The Starry Night“. I have a sentimental connection to van Gogh and Starry Night. Whenever I think of van Gogh, my heart is saddened by the fact that he never knew the true value that his paintings would become, and how his life’s story would add value to those paintings.
So tonight when you look up at the stars, think of the beauty in those stars, and see them as Vincent van Gogh saw them in 1889.
